The Story of Halmedia
Halmedia’s journey began in 1998 with the idea of creating websites that would boost sales for clients. At the time, developing intranet and extranet services was also a strong focus. Publishing services were part of the offering as well.
It was the golden age of the internet’s rise. Forward-thinking companies eagerly embraced the opportunity to enhance their online presence, while others still needed convincing about the benefits of having their own website.
Halmedia had the privilege of contributing to the success stories of many businesses. Some websites experienced a tremendous surge in traffic—so much so that even we, as creators, were surprised. It was incredibly rewarding to see how clients benefited from the online services we developed.
In the early 2000s, we also developed a popular online service called Mobitie.net, which offered various mobile services to consumers—long before the era of smartphones.
Between those early days and today, much has happened. The internet has transformed radically, far beyond what anyone could have imagined. Halmedia has operated both from Finland and Spain at different times. We have created websites, advertising, search engine optimization, online reputation management, and everything in between.
